It takes great producers, directors and insightful investors - and it takes courage in the final edit - to keep the audience sitting on the edge of their seat, instead of nodding off. We cannot say what is the best film of 1982 is for all tastes, but this is our choice below. Subject to change, where an original film subsequently generates an exceptional sequel or series. This is, after all, about entertainment, and popularity.
